Welcome to harmoniacasa, where we arrange Homestay, Language Learning and Volunteer experiences. We are Karl and Monika and we are the owners of harmoniacasa. We lived for 2 years in Central America both in Nicaragua and the Central Valley town of Grecia, Costa Rica. We have extensive experience in the language learning and homestay process in both Victoria, BC and Grecia, Costa Rica. Our goal is to provide you with an excellent language school and to place you into a family to develop your language skills and learn more about the culture.
Homestay Experience first hand a cultural experience by living with a local family and becoming part of their environment. Our goal is to provide you with a family that will match with your needs while learning more of the language and culture. We have families on Vancouver Island, British Columbia as well as in Costa Rica.
Volunteer provides the opportunity to be involved with the community by assisting where they need it the most and living with a family. We feel this is the best way to be involved and learn the culture and of course the language...a total submersion...dive right in!
Language Learning The school programs are tailored to the various levels of Spanish or English ability and to the specific needs of the learner. From beginners to advance, the program is built to your needs and level.
Hotel Management We are currently managing the Buccaneer Inn located on Vancouver Island in Nanaimo, British Columbia. We have 13 rooms and can arrange and provide information about diving, kayaking and local hikes. It is a SUPER clean, SUPER comfortable place with a great view of the channel and Newcastle Island.
